help

"the hardest part of writing is the words."

i'm freakity freaking about my midterm paper. would any of ya'll want to get together sometime this weekend to give each other support, insight, advice, cigarettes, etc.? i would even love just to be working on my paper next to someone who is also working on their paper - just fucking make me sit there and do it, ya know?

so I came up with this great analogy that explains perfectly why I can't write...you know those cyclone machines where you step in and grab money that's flying around? that's my brain...if I could just grasp ONE idea out of all the ones that are all over the place up there...it'd be better. better yet if I could articulate that one idea. getting together might be helpful, but it depends on how far I get this weekend. I would not be able to get together until monday, though, 'cause i'm mostly busy during the day all day saturday and sunday. hang tough!!!

it did take me an hour to do my two first sentences! I just kept working over the sentence and analyzing each word, it came together but definitly took a lot of time! I am about to start again. I could maybe get together tommorrow emiko and write together, it might help to have the emotional support so let me know if and where you want to met cause i think it would help to keep our spirits up!

I would love to get together and go over and write the paper together this weekend or Monday. Let me know what works best. I will try not to infect anyone with my cold and can use one of those masks over my face to prevent the spread of diseases. Can we also have cookies? Like any time that someone finishes a paragraph they get a cookie and whenever they finish a page, they get a glass of wine or a piece of cheesecake or a cup of hot chocolate or something. Anything to inspire.

Peace,

lilmilagro that sounds like a good idea to have food/drink rewards for motivation. Especially tea and maybe whiskey for the colds. I am open anytime tommorrow.

wine and cookies? HELL YES! that's a brilliant idea.
i'm going to the clothing exchange at 3, but i hope to be out of there quickly. i'd be up for meeting from all day (something like 10-10) (with an hours break for clothes). the question is: where do we meet up? the old standby is school -- there's a neat-o study room on the 2nd floor -- but i don't know if school's getting old for ya'll. we could also try one of the libraries (but not the main one -- it's too ugly) or a coffee shop? or perhaps someone's house! (but not mine) any ideas?

I think the clothing exchange will be in the East Bay so maybe we can meet somewhere around here (I live in Oakland)? Otherwise, I think it will be a good idea to have it near where the clothing exchange will be. I vote for someone's place as it'll be easier to discuss and break down ideas and thoughts and it'll help with the relaxation more. I will look into some places and post much later tonight (I am going to a meeting at 4:30 if folk want to do it in the East Bay.
