Papers brainstorm and dinner?
I was thinking that maybe tuesday after class we could get dinner (and maybe a much needed drink) and each of us bring what we have written so far, (jumbled messes highly encouraged) so we can each talk about what we have written/thought before class on wednesday. That way we can each have more specific questions and ideas for class on Wednesday to bring to Angana and our class discussion. Who's in?

I would love to go and participate but I have Aztec Dance right after class. I could definitely do a lunch/brunch before class on Wednesday or I can show up super late on Tuesday - post 9 pm. I would love to get together and talk this out as I want to do pretty well on this paper. I do understand, though, if Tuesday would be a better day for everyone else. Just keep me posted.
that's a wonderful idea! unfortunately, i too, have plans tuesday night. but wednesday lunch/brunch could be perfect. that will make me actually start working on my paper as well.

yeah..I am down bu can't do it tuesday bc of he debate watch party my work is having =).
But wednesday sounds good before class if people can do it then.
I would be down for before class luncheon..but just keep me posted as well..
Wednesday before class works best for me - I think I'm going to work on studying/catching up on Tuesday night. Since that seems best for everyong else, too, do you all want to meet around 1-ish on Weds?
I actually haven't started yet...I was thinking about going with my original ideas that I talked about in class but after thinking about it I don't remember any of the other readings talking about infantilization specifically...so, argh. I'm going to be up all night working on it. :D
