How has the ‘Economic man’ emerged and been exported to the third world, through the apparatus of development; what are the relationships of resistance and assimilation to the ‘economic man’ and how has this been gendered within the third world?
I think that might be too many combinations of topics but I would be super excited to write about it. Let me know what y'all think.

I think this sounds very good, and exactly what she is looking for, I don't think it is too many combinations of topics. The first theme might need to be condensced a little though to fit. I think you can do it if you are tight and very specific with the emergence and then the exportation of economic man. Food for thought...Would you explain econonmic man in the introduction, do you need to explain economic man?

I really like it! I agree with Mindy that you'll probably need to be pretty tight and specific with the 1st one, but that probably goes for everyone. I say go for it. :)
I think it's beautiful! And illustrates my feelings of you as a fiercely intelligent woman in a way I can only hope to achieve by the end of our masters degree studies. Well as if our studies really ever end, but you know.
The only thing I wonder is are they too inextricably connected to be able to pull them apart individually without having to talk about the relations to each other, since she doesn't want us to try and tie them together just yet. But thus is a problem I fear for all of us.
